Familiar
An environmental 3D narrative based game built within Unity. A lot of the materials were tweaked by me, while the meshes and animations were external resources. Lighting, level design, and narrative design were done by me while mechanics, cinematography, among other work was done by Evan Binder.
Since there was no dialogue and it was open-world, the biggest challenge was displaying the story in a cohesive way. Technical hurdles were minimal, as most material and VFX were not too complex. Examples include the water and waterfalls, post-processing for the "spirit view", and lighting tweaks.
The game was created, like most of my works, for more for enjoyment purposes rather than marketing purposes. This is the first game I worked with another person on, and we both recieved good feedback from our Game Design course.
